High schools shoot high

GRAFTON High will meet an undefeated Maclean High in the opens final of The Daily Examiner Shield Netball competition.

Maclean a standout performer in Tuesday's rounds, defeating all challengers to send an ominous message to their rivals.

Grafton will need a big performance to topple Maclean.

The Years 9/10 competition only drew three teams, with the final between Grafton High and McAuley Catholic College a repeat of last year's thriller.

MCC won by one point last year, and you can be certain this will be another tough game.

The Years 7/8 competition saw Grafton get through the rounds undefeated, and they will face a determined Maclean in the final.

All finals will be held at the netball courts on Tuesday afternoon.
