High time for King to rule maiden

THERE was plenty of home support for High Storm when she last galloped at Grafton on February 16.

High Storm ($5.50) finished strongly in the 1410m Maiden Plate but left too much work to do to catch Court Adition ($3.80) and Academy Hill ($3.20).

She's honest the poor little thing," King, who purchased the five-year-old mare with Josh Harris and Raymond Hambly for $600.

"If she keeps running places she'll keep earning money. A win might be the end of her."

Again with Melinda Kinney in the saddle, High Storm could start punters' elect in today's Maiden Plate over 1420m. This time the challenge could come from the likes of Outback Buck, Willowvale Lad and Coastal Gem. All last start bridesmaids, they'll be just as hungry to break their maiden status.
