Highway delays after truck crash

Motorists travelling on the Pacific Highway on the state's far north coast are advised to expect delays due to a vehicle recovery at Uralba (south of Ballina).

This complex recovery will take place from 11.30 this morning to recover a B Double truck that was involved in an earlier accident.

The recovery operation will involved the use of a large load-bearing crane.

As a result of this recovery, all northbound lanes of the Pacific Highway at Uralba will be closed for approximately four hours to allow this recovery to take place.

A contra flow will be in place using the southbound lanes of the Pacific Highway.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and should allow additional travel time.
