Hockey returns to DEX Shield program
HOCKEY returns to list of sports to contest The Daily Examiner Shield with primary school students to contest the event at Grafton today.
Competitions will be held across the next four weeks for Years 1/2, Years 3/4 and Years 5/6 with the first games taking place at 4pm (see draw below).
Grafton Hockey Association has praised the efforts of volunteers assisting with junior recruitment this season.
The number of juniors signing on to clubs has been steadily rising in the pre-season and with many coach meet and greets next week hockey is not far away.
"The numbers are looking really promising," GHA president Lyn Newby said. "Clubs are really getting ready for the season."
"Hopefully with the DEX Shield that we are running over the next four weeks we might see even more hockey stars come out."
GHA is still taking registrations and if your kids are interested in signing up for hockey give the association a call on 0400 888 785.
