Hospital dance to raise funds

TONY Wall is hardly the type you would expect to be involved with the Grafton Hospital Auxiliary.

But over the past few weeks he has put all his spare time into organising an event to raise funds for the organisation.

His involvement came after seeing staff in the renal ward at Grafton Base Hospital treat his father with such care and compassion while he was undergoing treatment.

“Everyone up there really does go above and beyond their duty of care, so I wanted to give something back,” Tony said.

So he kept his word and has organized a Camp Oven Dinner Dance at the Halfway Creek Hall, with all of the proceeds going straight to the Grafton Hospital Auxiliary.

“Raising the money with the Grafton Hospital Auxiliary makes sure it gets exactly to where it needs to go, and doesn’t get lost in the system,” he said.

The dinner dance will take place on Saturday, April 2, from 6pm. Adult tickets will be $10, kids’ cost $5 and children under five are free.

Tickets are available from Low Pressure Surf Co., Bendigo Bank, Benefields Rose Farm and Go Girls Boutique.
