Hostage in Sydney shooting: 'It was not a great first day'
ONE of the hostages held captive during a six-hour siege in Sydney's south-west was working his first shift at the sign-making factory when the shooting began on Monday morning.
The freed hostage known as Seksane, spoke to reporters as he left a police station in Sydney after being interviewed by detectives following the attack on Inline National Signage in Ingleburn.
Seksane said he had begun his first day of work at Inline when the gunfire started at 10.45am.
Mick Bassal, 43, was killed in the shooting. His two brothers were injured, taken to hospital suffering gunshot wounds.

Seksane was part of a trio who were held in the factory for hours by Wayne Williams, the gunman and Finks bikie.
Williams is thought to have targeted the business to complain about a deal gone wrong.
As journalists attempted to quiz Seksane as he left the station, the captive replied, "I don't know. I just first start the job today".
He said it was not a "great first day" at his new workplace.
