Hundreds of Rebels arrested as part of national taskforce

QUEENSLAND is not alone in targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Since November last year, a national taskforce has been arresting hundreds of Rebels.

The Attero taskforce includes police from all states and territories as well as the Australian Crime Commission, Australian Federal Police, Customs, Tax Office, and Australian Securities and Investment Corporation.

It is focused on "breaking the business model of the Rebels".

Police say hundreds of bikies have already been arrested for illicit drug dealing, money laundering, extortion and violence.

Charges include assault, stalking, kidnapping, firearms and weapons offences, as well as property, street and traffic offences.

Weapons seized include knuckle dusters, tasers, throwing stars, machetes, illegal knives and batons.
