Hundreds turn out for Shoppingworld NYE event

HUNDREDS of revellers of all ages packed into the Grafton Shoppingworld carpark for the annual New Years Eve celebrations.

Local musician Ryan Martin ahd the crowd excited early showing off his talent and ability playing a series of Disney songs to entertain the children.

The dancers from Studio 1 dance academy put on a great performance as did all the kids in their Disney costumes.

When 9pm rolled around it was time for the main event as Shoppingworld manager Greg Hayes counted down to the fireworks.

A blazing ten minute display followed with fireworks that zipped, zagged, banged and shimmered. Mr Hayes made special mention of pyrotechnicians local paramedic Tim Bestwick and Daniel Bulmer who even squeezed a little encore display in after the applause died down.
