Storm trooping Australia raises over $100, 000

MANY of The Daily Examiner's readers may remember a friendly visit the Clarence Valley received from Scott Loxley, the travelling storm trooper, in April.

Mr Loxley had walked around Australia in a storm trooper's suit from Star Wars to raise money for the new Monash Children's Hospital in Melbourne.

Mr Loxley completed his journey on Monday afternoon outside the new Monash Children's Hospital where he was please to announce that he had reached his fundraising target of $100,000 thanks to a last-minute hefty donation from Disney Australia.

The Daily Examiner would like to congratulate Mr Loxley on his efforts and his resilience.
