Road delays for McFarlane Bridge upgrade

MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions on Tuesday, weather permitting, while work continues to complete the McFarlane Bridge upgrade.

The bridge will be closed for up to 15 minutes from 9.30am to 2.30pm while work is carried out to install a seal on the timber decking to improve durability and safety for motorists.

A detour will be in place via South Arm and South Arm School roads at Brushgrove and then the Pacific Hwy to Maclean during the closures.

Work is expected to be completed next year.

Electronic message signs will be in place in and around the Maclean area to advise motorists of the changed traffic conditions.

Lawrence Rd connects the communities of Maclean, Woodford Island and Lawrence and is the alternative route to the Pacific Highway between Maclean and Grafton.

Roads and Maritime apologises for any inconvenience during this essential work.
