Young cyclist hit in South Grafton

A BOY who was knocked off his bike in Skinner St, South Grafton, yesterday has been taken to Grafton Base Hospital.

The boy, who was riding south on the footpath near the Emporium, rode into the path of a car emerging from the lane beside the building about 3.45pm.

CCTV footage showed the boy collide with the front driver's side of the car and be thrown a few metres forward.

A man believed to be his father then took off his shirt and cradled the boy until paramedics arrives.
