No word on missing woman

POLICE are no closer to finding Jasmine Morris – the woman who went missing from Chapman Street, Grafton, on Thursday, October 8.

It is now 32 days since Ms Morris, also knows as Jasmine Moore, has been seen by relatives and she has not accessed her bank accounts.

Ms Morris was reported missing to police on Tuesday, October 20, after family tried for several days to contact her. Police said they now held ‘grave concerns for her welfare’.

Jasmine Morris, pictured, is described as white/European in appearance with an olive complexion, about 155cm tall, about 55kg with shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes.

At the time of her disappearance Ms Morris was wearing a long black cotton skirt, thongs and several rings on the fingers of both her hands.

Murder accused refused bail

A 48-YEAR-old man accused of murder over a death that occurred 22 years ago was refused bail when he appeared before Grafton Local Court yesterday.

David Gordon Stracey was remanded in custody and his case adjourned to the Central Local Court on November 24.
