Incentives for TAFE students

THREE students’ dedication to furthering their skills and knowledge has been recognised at a Grafton TAFE graduation ceremony.

Mandeep Kaur, Ruby Davis and Rachael Pachos received special awards at the ceremony in the Grafton District Services Club.

Grafton TAFE campus manager Wendy Bruszewski said the three women stood out from the rest.

“While almost every student on campus deserves commendation for dedicating themselves to study, there are some students who stand out in their achievements,” she said.

“Our teachers nominate these outstanding students to receive special awards.”

Ms Kaur and Ms Davis both received the Clarence Valley Women’s Award for Encouragement, while Ms Pachos was awarded the Grafton Campus Gold Award.

All three of the students overcame major hurdles – including sickness and cultural differences – to achieve their qualifications.
