Duo hits ground running in business straight out of school
IT IS every entrepreneur's dream to hit the jackpot straight out of school, but for Chris Ryan and Adam Rockett this dream was a reality.
These two high school mates from Brisbane now sit at the helm of $12million mobile telecommunications empire, Strike Group.
Strike Group is Australia's leading provider of Bluetooth car technologies. Established in 2001 by the entrepreneurial duo, the company is now a multi-million mobile phone and accessory wholesaler doing business on all continents.
The company sells to 72 countries across the globe, having appointed key partners in the American and European market.
After leaving their part-time jobs in the local liquor shop at age 18, it took less than five years for Chris and Adam to build Strike Group from $300,000 to $11.5million.
Initially contracted by a Hong Kong telecom company, the pair spent six months setting up an international wholesaling division.
During this time they were able to strengthen their industry knowledge and prepare for the development of their own enterprise.
Strike Group has 35 employees, across five cities and four countries, and recently released the Strike Alpha Cradle - an advanced smartphone car cradle.
Cradle sales have been compounding 25% month-on-month since June 2013 and Strike Group are currently appointing distributors worldwide.
"With technology constantly evolving, we need to ensure that Strike Group is continuously improving its business processes and with our 'all in one place' mantra (it's all about) intelligent design meeting cutting edge technology to enhance the motoring experience," Mr Ryan said.
