Inverell teens charged

TWO teenagers will appear in court today charged over a number of alleged break-ins at a high school in Inverell. 

Officers attached to New England Local Area Command commenced an investigation into a number of recent break-ins and last night arrested a 17-year-old male on school property.

Another 17-year-old male allegedly ran from the scene and was arrested a short time later in a nearby park.

They were taken to Inverell Police Station and each charged with  four counts of aggravated break enter and steal, one count of aggravated enter dwelling, one count of enter land/dwelling with intent, and one count of steal from dwelling.

Both youths have been refused bail to appear in Inverell Children’s Court today.
