A MAN has been killed after his motorcycle collided with an animal at Bryden, near Lake Wivenhoe.

The crash happened on Wivenhoe-Somerset Rd about 9.30am.

The rider, a 42-year-old Ipswich man, died at the scene.

The road was closed until around 2.15pm.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
