Irwins come to the rescue on I’m A Celebrity

THE Irwins' surprise visit on the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! tonight was perfectly timed.

Terri, Bindi and Robert were like a ray of sunshine as they burst into the camp with a 30kg python and baby crocodile in hand.

"To see them all standing there as a family with the snake and the crocodile was so awesome. It really brought a great spirit to the camp," Jo Beth Taylor said.

Their arrival sent the camp into a flurry as the celebrities offered the wildlife warriors the only thing on hand, rice.

"Here they were the ultimate special guests the Irwins and we couldn't even offer them a drink or anything," Paul "The Chief" Harragon said.

The special guests helped to buoy the moods of the hungry, bored and homesick celebrities and provide some entertainment with a jungle quiz.

Bindi led the women's team to victory, rewarding Havana Brown, Val Lehman, Bonnie Lythgoe, Jo Beth and Laurina Fleure with an off-site safari excursion.

The Irwins left the celebrities to their bush chicken and tofu dinner, departing the camp to sleep somewhere much more comfortable.

The family will return on the show tomorrow night.
