JACARANDA Thursday proved to be the perfect place for Bella Trevillian to gather signatures to bring triple j's One Night Stand to Grafton.

Mrs Trevillian said she collected about 400 signatures by midday.

"I've been very busy on the run," Mrs Trevillian said

"I think this is the best Jacaranda Thursday yet. It's a great family day.

"I've still enjoyed today even though I have been on the run.

"My kids are having a great day too."

Mrs Trevillian said there people from all over Australia at the festival, from Sydney, Coffs Harbour and even Perth.

Grafton High student Caitlin Hope signed the petition.

"It would be great if One Night Stand came here," Caitlin said.

"You hear about it all over the internet, everyone is saying why doesn't One Night Stand come here."
