Janette is a dog's best friend
“I JUST love dogs” was the reason given by Janette Wilson for her involvement with Grafton Animal Rescue.
The Grafton mum has two dogs - a Jack Russell cross and a silky terrier cross - and donates her time as secretary of the animal rescue group she works with.
“I also look after administration and screen potential foster carers,” she said.
Janette and her hubby moved to Grafton from Sydney eight years ago.
“It's very pretty, and I love the trees and the parks. And, no matter what time of the year it is, there's always flowers,” she said.
“I also love the fact that there's no traffic lights in Grafton,” she said.
Janette is helping to prepare for Grafton Animal Rescue's annual fundraising event.
It's being held on Saturday, May 23, between 8.30am and 5.30pm.
The event will take place at 'Hair off the Dog' in Queen Street, Grafton, opposite Farmer Lou's.
There will be goodies for sale, hydro-bathing and discount de-sexing.
