Juniors set for hockey finals

JUNIOR hockey action reaches a climax for the season with a big day of girls' and boys' finals to be staged at Grafton Hockey complex today.

The primary girls' competition concludes first, with the Mods game starting at 9am.

Then it is the turn of the junior boys, with the under-7s and under-9s playing non-competitive matches in a celebration of another successful year of hockey.

The serious action will heat up as the day cools down and the lights come on. The mixed under-18s are the last to hit off at 5.20pm and with a number of A-grade players from the senior competition present it is sure to be a hard-fought contest between the two City Bears outfits.

Make sure to get along to the hockey fields and give the kids a cheer in their season deciders.
