Kris Jenner trademarking the term 'momager'

KRIS Jenner is trying to trademark the term "momager".

The 59-year-old reality star has filed legal documents to trademark the name, which refers to her role as both a mother and manager to her children, meaning other stars would need permission to use the descriptive term.

The star, who has children Kourtney, 36, Kim, 34, Khloe, 30, Rob, 28, Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 17, previously secured copyright on the term for use in 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' and for personal management services, but is now hoping to claim it as hers across the entire realm of entertainment.

According to gossip website TMZ, Kris decided to take action to secure the title in a bid to prevent other famous parents such as Lindsay Lohan's mum Dina, or Beyonce's mum Tina, from using the term.

The news comes just weeks after Kendall and Kylie reportedly attempted to copyright their monikers in an attempt to assert themselves as international stars.

The teenage sisters filed documents to trademark their first names for "entertainment in the nature of providing information by means of a global computer network in the fields of entertainment, fashion and pop culture" while also claiming their names for personal appearances "by a celebrity, actress and model."
