Last chance for Grafton Cup naming rights
KENSEI CLUB: Today is the final chance to enter your business in the Kensei Club to have a crack at winning the highly coveted official naming rights to the Clarence River Jockey Club's July Carnival feature race, the Grafton Cup.
Memberships will be sold to participating businesses, and at the Kensei Club dinner held later this month a draw will determine member prizes.
The first prize winner receives the naming rights to the 2016 Grafton Cup.
All members are guaranteed a minimum prize, which includes tickets to the Barrier Draw Function, and VIP Marquees on both South Grafton and Grafton Cup Days, plus the naming rights to at least one TAB race during the course of the CRJC racing calendar.
The club is named in recognition of famed stayer Kensei who used the Grafton track as a springboard to fame when he won the 1987 Melbourne Cup merely months after claiming the Grafton Cup during that year's July Carnival.
