Lauren hopes funny man Joel wins I'm A Celebrity

LAUREN Brant promises to entertain Australian audiences in a new project soon after her elimination from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The young performer is the fourth contestant evicted from the reality show's South African base camp, following in the footsteps of swimmer Leisel Jones, Bachelor Tim Robards and former Miss Australia Laura Dundovic.

"Thank you to all my supporters as it was obviously you who were able to see the real me," Brant told APN.

"Thank you so much and I promise to be entertaining you soon on something else."

The former Hi-5 performer's positive outlook was tested during her time on the show.

Despite cricket legend Merv Hughes pushing her buttons and the group bickering over food, Brant said it was the "detox from life itself" that she found the most challenging.

She told APN she wants comedian Joel Creasey to win the show. He'll face some stiff competition though from Chrissie Swan and Merv Hughes.

"I really like him and I just think that the longer he's in there, the more material he has for his stand-up comedy routine," she said.

"And I'm going to go watch it."

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! airs Sundays at 6.30pm and Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
