Letter to the Editor - February 2: Praise for libraries

I WAS very pleased to see in the January edition of Clarence Community News the report on the performance of the Valley's libraries.

Although the focus of the report is on Grafton, I suspect that the usage increases have been Valley-wide.

I would take the author of the report to task on what is probably the main feature of the libraries: the staff.

They are the public face of the Clarence Valley Council, and probably the only human face that the ratepayer employers of the council ever sees.

They do a marvellous job.

Les Weiley,

P.S. I would hope that the people in the planning department take particular note of paragraphs 6, 7 and the following line.
