Letter to the Editor - Thursday, May 15: Cease direct action

HERE'S a pain-free way to improve Australian Government finances by $2.55 billion - drop the Direct Action carbon handouts.

Those destined to receive Direct Action windfalls will love the policy, but no one else in the world will notice any improvement in the climate, or the environment, or their living standards.

Direct Action is one promise the government should break. Far better than raising taxes on anything.
