Letter to the Editor - Thursday, November 14: Keep him home

JOHN Edwards rightly expressed concern (DEX, November 11) about the Abbott Government's attitude to climate change and its attempts to shut down scientific discussion on the issue.

However, I think he's missed the point in relation to the decision not to send the Federal Environment Minister Greg Hunt to the international climate change negotiations in Warsaw.

That is probably the most sensible decision Mr Abbott has made since he became Prime Minister. Why?

Well, Mr Wikipedia Hunt has already made Australia a laughing stock internationally in relation to climate change and its impacts. Just imagine how much more damage he could do if he was let loose at an international conference on climate change.
