Letter to the Editor - Tuesday, October 15: Festival delight

I DROVE into Grafton on Friday afternoon and was delighted to see the billboard advertising on the Pacific Hwy for the 79th Jacaranda Festival.

I was even more delighted to see that council have erected Jacaranda insignia flags along Prince St.

May I say this gave me a warm feeling, that finally council are acknowledging and priding themselves as major supporters of the world-renowned Grafton Jacaranda Festival.

It may be that revenue that this festival brings to the town each year will increase due to this visual presence and the blossoming of the jacaranda trees.

Well done, it's about time.

May I also extend congratulations to Dr Tyson on being announced Guest of Honour, a worthy recipient.
