Libraries showing their feelings to book lovers tomorrow

CLARENCE Valley libraries are showing their feelings to book lovers this Valentine's Day.

Tomorrow - Valentine's Day - also marks Library Lovers Day, which is in fact a week of celebration for those who have a passion for reading and information.

Clarence Regional Library is spreading the love to customers with a competition, a book rendezvous and a timely gift to all borrowers.

As in previous years, Clarence Valley libraries will be running a competition to guess the Most Desired Book - the title most borrowed over the past 12 months. A box of chocolates is on offer at each library for the reader who gets it right.

To add to the romance, readers can also have a Blind Date with a Book during the week of Library Lovers Day by borrowing an unknown title wrapped in brown paper.

If the date doesn't work out, simply return the book and try another.

And as a special Library Lovers Day gift, from February 14 Clarence Valley libraries will be extending the loan period on all items to four weeks, unless it is a high-demand item.

That's an extra week to spend with the book, DVD, magazine or talking book that you love.
