Working life looking up for Megan

MEGAN Doyle is one of the lucky 18-year-olds who get a full-time job during their gap year.

She secured herself a position at John Williams Optometrists in Grafton Shoppingworld.

“I really like it here, I worked in hospitality during school and this is a lot more relaxed,” Megan said.

The position suited her down to the ground, as the business was only looking for someone who was on a gap year.

“One of the girls is about to go on maternity leave, so by the time she comes back, I will be off at uni,” she said.

Megan has deferred her studies for a Bachelor of Legal and Justice at Southern Cross University.

While she is happy at the moment, some change is about to come into Megan's life.

“My boyfriend of two years has joined the army and leaves in June,” she said.

“I'm really happy for him, but I'm going to miss him heaps.”
