Lisa has a plan if crowned queen

LISA Hunter firmly believes that a Jacaranda Queen should be a friendly young woman, who is inspiring and has a passion for the community.

More importantly, Lisa thinks she could fill those shoes and has put her hand up for the 2011 Jacaranda Queen title, thanks to sponsorship from Yoohoo Graphic Design. The 24-year-old hopes to bring a bit of individual flair to the competition and, of course, to raise as much as she can for the festival.

“I have lived in Grafton all of my life and have wanted to do this since I was little,” she said.

“I never missed the crowning, the markets or the floats when I was growing up and to have the opportunity to be apart of that is an honour.”

Through her involvement with the quest, Lisa is hoping to grow as a person though challenging herself.

“I love getting people together and organising events, I have just never done it on such a big scale,” she said.

For her fundraising event, Lisa is hoping to stage a New York- style fashion parade, a bikini car wash and something that incorporates one of her employers, The Naked Bean.
