Liza loving life south of the border

AFTER weeks of rain, yesterday the sun was shining and the mercury was high in South Grafton, but the unseasonably warm weather was nothing new for resident Liza Munro.

Liza has lived in the area for the past decade and before that lived in the North Queensland town of Ingham.

She said she originally expected to stay in Grafton for six weeks but 10 years on, she is still here.

She spent her Easter break visiting family in Bundaberg but said she was glad to be back in South Grafton.

“It's a nice area to live in, especially if you have kids,” she said.

“It's always good to be back home, there's no place like it.”

Yesterday, she was enjoying a brief quiet moment after a busy lunch rush at her workplace, The Naked Bean.

While customers made the most of the sunshine by sitting outside, Liza said she was happy to stay cool inside.
