Local business incentives

CLARENCE Valley businesses are calling on the new State Government to provide incentives for business growth and are asking Clarence MP Steve Cansdell to ensure any incentives flow through to local businesses.

Clarence Business Enterprise Advisory Service (C-BEAS) chairman Trevor Hageman said the Clarence Valley was a unique region but it appeared to miss out on opportunities afforded to neighbours to the south and north.

“We seek your input on what initiatives you would like to see offered to the business community in the Clarence Valley,” he said.

“Our monthly Networking the Clarence events continue to be a success but we would always like to see more business owners attend.

“It is an excellent opportunity to meet and speak to others about your business and learn what products and services are available in the Clarence Valley.

“Thank you to Chris Wright, Jenny Dutton and Revee West from ANZ Bank for sponsoring our March event.

“Thank you also to Karen Toms for sponsoring our April event.

“Sponsors are very important to the continuance of these events and anybody interested in showcasing their business should contact Gerold Rupkalvis on 6643 1550.”

Coming events for Networking the Clarence include:

  •  Tomorrow, sponsor Clarence Valley Council, venue Grafton TAFE.
  •  June 8, sponsor Commonwealth Bank, venue Maclean Hotel.
  •  July 6, sponsor Clarence Coast Motors, venue Campdraft Clubrooms, South Grafton.

“I encourage you to attend and bring a guest,” Mr Hageman said.

Admission is $5.
