Breaking the cycle: Grief workshop for Aboriginal parents

A WORKSHOP that gives Aboriginal parents practical tools to work through their grief, loss and trauma will be held at the Clarence Valley Aboriginal Healing Centre.

This workshop will help parents understand how healing their own loss and trauma enables them to support their children through tough times.

It will help to understand what happens in the body, mind and spirit when we experience loss and grief and what we need to do to story those events in ways that are healthy.

The workshop will be presented by Mary Cutts of Bodymindspirit Connections.

Mary has been a counsellor for many years in mental health, sexual assault and family support services.

She brings a deep understanding of trauma. The workshop is on June 11, from 9.30am to 1pm.

The Healing Centre is located at 8-26 Victoria Street, Grafton.
