Ashlee loves her bookshop job

ASHLEE O’Donohue loves reading books and works in Collins Booksellers at Grafton Shoppingworld.

“I’m really interested in books,” she said.

Ashlee has been working in Collins Booksellers since Christmas and got the job because the boss knew her mum.

She said she walked into the bookshop, asked for a job and he gave her one.

“I like working here because it’s quiet, calm and the people are really lovely, especially the customers,” she said.

Working as a full-time trainee, Ashlee said her favourite author was Tamora Pierce, who writes The Circle of Magic books.

Ashlee is 19 and graduated from McAuley Catholic College in South Grafton last year.

She is interested in lots of different types of books but said historical fantasy books were her favourite.

“I like getting to know new books and new authors.”

Ashlee says she is happy working in the bookstore and willcontinue to work there in the future.
