AFTER talking to Chris Adamson you're left with the impression his job is almost an extension of his social life.
He's now the bar manager at the Good Intent Hotel in South Grafton, having started in the job as a casual in 2004.
Chris said he loved the interaction he got with his customers.
“You find out people's personalities and tend to have a joke with them,” he said.
“I'm treated pretty well here and it's not hard pouring beers – I really enjoy it.”
Chris has lived in the Valley since he was five years old, having moved here from Sydney.
Apart from his job, he said local beaches and sport were two things that kept him in the Valley.
“I play a few sports – cricket and football and rugby union – and I enjoy the mateships within your sports,” he said.
“Other than that, it (the Clarence Valley) is just a good place to bring up your kids. I've got three kids; one's into sport as well, the other two are a bit small.”
