Lower is chasing the Plate

THE semi-finals and final of the 2014/15 McDonalds Country Plate and Country Shield cricket competitions will both be played in Tamworth from December 28 to 30.

Lower Clarence has reached the Country Plate semi-finals the past two seasons, including travelling to the Riverina in 2013/14 where the team lost to Albion Park.

Last season, Clarence River was knocked out of the Country Shield in round three by eventual champions Ballina.

The 2014/15 SCG Country Cup Carnival will be held in the Illawarra region on December 28-29.

Ballina will host the Northern tier of the NSW Country Championships on November 21 to 23 with Griffith hosting the Southern tier.

The 2015 Commonwealth Bank Australian Country Cricket Championships will be hosted by Bendigo, Victoria on January 4-12.
