Lucy and the New World Order at Iluka

THE new exhibition Lucy and the New World Order at the Iluka Emporium for the month of March by Marie Louise de Lepervanche is a must see.

Marie is a local artist who lives and works in Iluka and was inspired for this exhibition by her dog.

"For this series my muse was my dog Lucy which I adore," she said.

"For each work I imagined how Lucy might view the world she lives in, and because they say dogs see only limited colour I added lots to compensate."

Louise is a talented draughtswoman who works with colour in a dream-like manner currently preferring acrylics.

"My paintings were initially very detailed and realistic but now I would describe the style as naturalistic and whimsical," she said.

An opening event will be held on Saturday March 12 from 11am where you can meet Louise and Lucy.
