GOOD weather and great people made the Maclean Show Society's 123rd annual show a great success.

The two-day event, which finished with a fireworks display on Wednesday, had locals and visitors alike flocking to the showground.

Show secretary Nerida Dufficy said the committee was extremely happy with the turnout.

"The gate takings were good and we've had such a good reaction from everyone who came through.

"Everyone just seems happy to be here, and so wonderful to deal with."

She said highlights were the naming of the cattle pavilion after Mogul Brahman Stud and a display by El-Jay Freestyle bikers.

"And the rain held off right until the end. It was just perfect."
