Never too young to get a sense of dressing to impress
MADELEINE Vidler's winning smile said it all.
Taking home the sash and title of Grafton Shoppingworld Fashions on the Field Target Miss Teen, 13-year-old Madeleine is no stranger to the limelight.
She's been dancing with the Clarence River Dance Academy for several years and has done a little modelling as well.
Meanwhile her little brother Levi Vidler, 10, took out first place in the Target Best Dressed Gent 7-12 years wearing a grey outfit highlighted with his favourite colour pink.
Mum Michelle said the event was the highlight of the holidays and winning was a bonus.
"With four kids at home they'll all want to have a say in how to spend the prize money," she laughed.
Aria Barnes, 5, was sashed Best Dressed Little Lady 1-6 years, while five-year-old Jesse Martin took home the first place ribbon for Best Dressed Little Gent 1-7 years.
Jesse's grandmother Chris Joe helped him find the right outfit.
"The jacket and shoes came from Target, his mum picked the shirt and pants, and his hat came from PRIMEX in Casino. It all came together nicely," she said.
Grafton Shoppingworld Fashions on the Field coordinator Chrystal Campbell said the entries this year had been overwhelming.
"I think everyone made a great effort and they all looked gorgeous," Ms Campbell said.
"It's nice to see winter boots and coats and age appropriate dress as well as a good use of accessories."
