Magical day out

NEXT Saturday Grafton Showground will be magically transformed into a fairytale wonderland for the inaugural Day of Fae Festival and the Azure Starlit Faerie Ball.

The events are the brainchild of locals Kellie Boulton, Natalie Petty and Frankie Stone, who are keen to share a bit of faerie magic with the Clarence Valley community.

The Day of Fae will be held at the Showgrounds between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, September 22, and will feature a wide range of magical and fairy-themed fun.

On offer for guests will be story-telling, magic performances, dancing, displays from medieval re-enactors, live music, arts and crafts, markets, delicious food and much more.

Entry is by donation and guests are encouraged to come dressed in their finest faerie threads with lots of prizes up for grabs for those who make the effort.

At night, the magic will move inside the Barn for the Azure Starlit Ball where guests will be treated to a three-course feast, live entertainment, flames performances and much more.
