Man charged with drug supply in Yamba

A MAN allegedly found with a large number of MDMA capsules at a Yamba hotel has been charged over the weekend.

About 11.20pm on Friday, local officers were undertaking patrols at the Pacific Hotel when a man was stopped and spoken to.

Police will allege a search of the man resulted in the location of 32 MDMA capsules, which were seized for forensic examination.

The man, 30, was arrested and taken to Yamba Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and was expected to appear at Grafton Local Court on Saturday.
