Man dies after argument

 

Police are appealing for information following the death of a man in Taree this morning.

About 12.10am three men became involved in a verbal argument on Valerie Street.

Police have been told that two of the men got into a vehicle and attempted to leave.

However, the third man reportedly grabbed onto the car and ran alongside it as it was being driven away.

The man suffered serious injuries after losing his footing and falling to the road.

Police and ambulance paramedics were called; however, the man later died.

A 28-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident. He was later released pending further inquiries.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.

A report will be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
