Man dies after collapse

A 49-YEAR-OLD man died today after collapsing in the food court at Grafton Shoppingworld.

According to Sergeant Harley Willox from Grafton police, the wheelchair-bound man was eating in the food court  about noon when he suddenly collapsed.

The man’s carer raised the alarm and police and ambulance officers attended the scene where they performed CPR on the man before taking him to Grafton Base Hospital.

The man was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are investigating the incident and are preparing a report for the coroner.
