Man dies in fiery crash

POLICE are probing a fatal crash on the Gwydir Highway where a car burst into flames after colliding with a tree.
About 9.50pm yesterday, a Hyundai Excel collided with a tree left the road at Cangai, west of Grafton.
The car burst into the flames after the crash and the 39-year-old man driving the car, who was the sole occupant, died at the scene.
Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
