Man due in court after police conduct drug raid

MORE than half a kilo of marijuana with an estimated street value of $14,300 has been uncovered by police at a Lower Coldstream address.

About 10.30am on Sunday, police attended a property on Lower Coldstream Rd, where they spoke to a 34-year-old man.

It is alleged that while they were at the property, police located 572 grams of dried marijuana, and two marijuana plants in the front yard. Coffs/Clarence crime manager Detective Inspector Darren Jameson said the plants and marijuana had a total estimated street value of more than $18,000.

The man was charged with possession of a prohibited drug, and has been bailed to appear at Grafton Local Court on June 16.
