Macca's 'a positive for Yamba'

BALLINA’S McDonald’s owner and operator Scott Campbell has been named the franchisee for Yamba’s proposed 24/7 restaurant.

If the development application before Clarence Valley Council is deemed successful the northern NSW-born man promises to bring significant benefits to the town and outlines these in a full page advertisement he has taken out in today’s edition of The Daily Examiner.

“Yamba continues to undergo strong growth in both population and housing so it’s a commercially attractive location for a new restaurant,” he said.

The potential operator said while he was aware of the strong opposition he wanted to make it clear to all concerned that McDonald’s is working closely with council to ensure all appropriate assessments and investigations are completed as part of the development application.

“If approved, the proposed restaurant will be owned and operated by me and it is my commitment to the people of Yamba that I will not only ensure the restaurant is run to the highest standards, but that we are a positive, not negative, addition to the area.”
