Mental health talks

A FREE mental health and well-being workshop will be hosted at Treelands Community Centre, Yamba, on Monday by national depression initiative beyondblue.

Community leaders, local business owners and other interested parties are urged to take part in the three-hour workshop from 7pm, so they are better equipped to deal with the emotional impact of the floods.

"It is important that people who have been affected by the floods look after their own psychological well-being, particularly when providing support for others," said beyondblue CEO Dawn O'Neill.

"The training session will help participants to recognise when others are having trouble coping."

Please contact beyondblue if you need help with mental health or depression.
