NSW Premier Mike Baird swears in new cabinet

AFTER surviving the most tumultuous week for the NSW Coalition Government since the 2011 state election, there were smiles all round outside Parliament House on Wednesday as Premier Mike Baird's new team was officially sworn in.

In thanking dumped Attorney General Greg Smith and former ministers Robyn Parker and George Souris for their work, Mr Baird said he and Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner had "made the decisions we think are in the long term interest of the state."

He said the team balanced "experience, renewal and the hunger to take us forward".
