Mind games for Cloke as forward looks to kick on

ON THE eve of his 200th game for Collingwood, forward Travis Cloke says his biggest battle each week is not with his opponent, it's inside his head.

Cloke, who has kicked 353 goals in his AFL career, will be keen to add to his return of just one goal in three games this season when the Magpies take on Richmond at the MCG tomorrow night.

"Half the time the battle is within my head … winning that is the greatest challenge of mine," Cloke (pictured) said.

"If you drop a mark early on then obviously your confidence goes down. You want to take one, you want to kick goals, you want to do perfect things," he said. "You're not human if you don't get upset with those type of things."

The 27-year-old has been Collingwood's leading goalkicker three times since making his debut for the club in 2005. His best return was 69 goals in 2011 when the Pies lost to Geelong in the grand final.
