Miranda loves Grafton Show

SHOW-GOER for many years, Miranda Predo, 21, jumped at the chance to be involved in the 2010 Grafton Showgirl competition.

“The only times I have missed the show during the 13 years I have lived in Grafton were when I was away for rep hockey,” she said yesterday.

“Even then I have only missed it a couple of times,” Miranda said.

“I really love the whole atmosphere of the show, so I wanted to be involved in it.”

Miranda is hoping to take her community involvement to the next level and get her face out there a bit more.

“In the long run, I am planning on owning and running my own business,” she said.

“I feel that Showgirl is a great way to meet new people and lift my public profile that little bit more,” she said.

Miranda works four days a week at Bakers Delight in Grafton Shoppingworld and is studying for a certificate of front counter management.

“In my spare time I play A-grade hockey for Demons and I really enjoy relaxing with my friends and family,” she said.

While she loves Grafton and the Clarence Valley, Miranda is also fairly worldly having recently returned from Germany where she worked for six months as an au pair.

“It was a great experience. I looked after two little kids, Alina and Bastian, and I think about them every day,” she said.

“I got to experience another culture. I also got to see snow for the first time and am now fluent in German.”
